Specialized OCD therapy and trauma therapy in Chicago
In-person and virtual therapy for OCD, trauma, and perinatal mental health throughout Chicago and Illinois.
You know something is off. You've read every article. You’ve searched Google. Nothing seems to be helping.
There's another way.
If you've been living inside your own head, replaying thoughts over and over and second-guessing yourself constantly, you’re in the right place.
I work with adults in the Chicagoland area and throughout Illinois who are struggling with OCD, trauma, and perinatal mental health concerns.
My clients are navigating:
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: I treat all themes and subtypes of OCD, including the taboo, hard‑to‑talk‑about ones.
Trauma: Including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma (C-PTSD), and the lasting impact of chronic stress.
Perinatal and Postpartum Mental Health: Including OCD and anxiety from preconception to parenthood.

What does an OCD therapist do?
An OCD therapist in Chicago helps you understand the patterns that you’ve been stuck in and find your way out.
Think of an OCD therapist as a guide who helps you map out your unique triggers, the obsessive doubts that hijack your thoughts, and the rituals you may do to feel safe, but which keep the OCD cycle alive.
Treatment focuses on:
Working together to choose an approach that feels like the best fit for you, your goals, and your values. Therapies include exposure and response prevention (ERP), inference-based cognitive behavioral therapy (I-CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Providing psychoeducation so you can understand how OCD operates in your mind and daily life, and how trauma and OCD can co‑occur and influence each other.
Building confidence in your ability to handle doubt and uncertainty.
Finally getting tools that help you step out of those exhausting mental spirals, compulsions, and endless second-guessing.
I'm a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) based in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood. I specialize in OCD treatment, trauma therapy, and perinatal mental health in Chicago.
My approach is shaped by both my clinical training and my own lived experience with OCD. That combination means I'm not just familiar with what the research says. I understand what it actually feels like to live it. And I know that getting better is possible, because I've done the work myself.
I use a combination of evidence-based approaches designed to help those with OCD.
I believe therapy should feel grounded, human, and flexible. It should actually fit your life.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
There is no single “best” therapy for OCD and trauma. The most effective approach is always personalized to you.
For OCD, we use ERP, I-CBT, and ACT. If trauma is present, we use an integrative approach that stays within your window of tolerance, includes somatic regulation, and addresses attachment patterns.
We blend the right tools for your OCD with care that respects your trauma history, so you’re not overwhelmed and can actually heal. The goal is lasting relief, not just coping.
-
Intrusive thoughts are unwanted, repetitive thoughts or fears that can feel distressing and hard to control. While many people experience them from time to time, with OCD they tend to feel “sticky”, showing up over and over again and creating intense doubt or anxiety. You may find yourself questioning things that matter to you, replaying situations, or feeling driven to do certain behaviors to get relief. If this cycle is taking up a lot of your time or energy, specialized therapy can help.
-
I work with adults who are 18 years and older.

I’m an out-of-network provider and don’t bill insurance directly. Many plans limit the type, frequency, and length of care, and I choose to work outside those constraints so therapy can be guided by what matters to you: your values, goals, and clinical needs.
I’ll give you a superbill that you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement; whether you’re reimbursed depends on your plan, so it’s helpful to check with your insurance company about your out‑of‑network mental health benefits.
